I passed my written test for the GT Sailing Club last Thursday. I had to take it twice, but I passed with flying colors on the second shot.

This past weekend I took an Adult 420 class out on Lake Lanier. Here’s a picture of what a 420 looks like.

We didn’t have enough wind to hike out as much as this guy, but we were still heeling quite a bit.

Now, I only need to pass my on-the-water test. Then I’ll be ready to skipper these boats on my own.

I registered an intramural softball team today here at Georgia Tech. I’m trying to get people from the Computer Science department, the GTRI, and anywhere else I can think.

Our team name is The Wrecking Crew. I don’t see us winning any awards or championships, but it should be a fun season, as long as I can put together a full roster and we don’t have a lot of forfeits.

This season, just like every other season, I have one main goal: no lost teeth  Since I usually play outfield, this isn’t too much of an issue.

I’ll post more details as the season progresses.
