We are just getting back to our routine, after a nice spring break In West Virginia. We started our trip from Iowa City on Friday the 10th at 7 pm then around 9 pm we stopped at a gas station, somewhere in Illinois, because Jacobo got sick and was vomiting. We left the area around 10 pm, our car keys were inside our locked car. A state patrol came to unlocked the car but it took him around 1 hour to do it. Jacobo was sick all the way to Bridgport, we made it there around 7 am. After suprising Jackie Jake took a nap and Jacobo, Jackie and I went shopping for groceries at Krogers. For lunch Jackie took us to EL RINCON, Jake was able to say HOLA to his mexican friends.
On that Saturday we were invited to the Blankenship’s to eat dinner, of course was a rainy evening. Larry grilled some burgers out in the porch, everything was delicious. On Sunday we visited my host family the Fluharty’s at Salem WV, the family I stayed with while I was in the exchange student program. Later that evening we went to eat dinner at Mathew Blankeship’s home with his wife and his kids. Jake and Mathew hadn’t seen each other for over 9 years. Mathew and his family came over for dinner one night, Jackie fixed Lasagna, salad and banana pudding for everyone, I just help with the garlic bread. Rocco Rossetti also came over one night to have dinner with us. Then after dinner he took us on a ride or better say in a fly, in a full moon night, from Bridgeport to Morgantown and back without landing in Morgantown. There were only four sits, so Jacobo, Jake, Rocco and I were the passsangers.
Jacobo, Jake and Jerry took a camping trip to Petersburg, after that Jake and Jacobo climed or hiked the Seneca Falls they were very happy about it and they enjoyed the camping trip a lot.
I had a trip to Pittsburg Pensylvania with Jackie and Misty (Megan’s friend) We went to pick up Megan and Terry from the airport on Friday the 17th, there spring break was just starting.
On Saturday Jake and Jacobo came back from their camping trip, we packed and started our trip back to Iowa at 8:30 pm, we ate the whole package of pepperoni rolls that Jackie made for us. This time Jacobo was not sick. We got home around 7:30 am on Sunday the 19th. We had a great time thank you Jerry and Jackie and of course Tess and Mandy.
Now we are back in our routine. Jacobo is taking swimming lessons and attending Penn Elementary. This thursday he will start taking spanish classes at Penn, we were abel to put the program together after all. Jake studying hard for law school and busy applying for scholarships, fellowships and internships, I know there are so many SHIPS. And I am still looking for a job but in the meanwhile I have enough at home.
