It was cold at Petersburg, but Jake prepared well so that we were comfortable in the tent, but the wind was cold and strong on top of the ridge (4000′ MSL). Jacobo kept up well and stayed warm. I checked his hands because he had only a sweatshirt which he kept open, but his hands were warm. I was cold despite sweatshirt,d long windbreaker and ski gloves. I told him, “It’s just not fair!”, and of course he repeatedly came to me to say, “It’s just not fair, is it?”
