Here’s a picture of our Thanksgiving dinner. It was in the mid 60’s today so we ate out on our new screened in porch. As you can see, the dogs were dressed for the weather.

“Fall is for Planting,” or so says the Home Depot sign in the garden center.

Over the past six weeks, Micah and I have been working to transform our backyard. We’ve been digging up concrete, spark plugs, broken glass, wire fencing, nails and bolts and putting in compost, mulch and lots of plants. So far, we have made three large beds, including one that wraps around the entire back of the house. Unfortunately, we still have half a truckload of mulch sitting in our driveway, but at least the garter snakes living in there are happy.

The back of the house complete with recently completed porch. (Painting that was last weekend’s task.)

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything, so here are some random dog pictures. I just emptied the camera’s memory card and found these on it.

Who ever heard of a dog that likes tomatoes? Both Dotty and Boxey have discovered our vegetable garden. Often we put them outside and they come back in smelling of tomato breath. Oh well, at least the squirrels aren’t getting them.

Boxey much prefers to sleep under things, rather than on them. Here she is dug into her dog bed.
