I have started a new blog to document my experiences around creating a website. It will hopefully allow me to share some of the things I have learned with other aspiring Internet entrepreneurs. There will be bits of business philosophy, ideas on software engineering, and hard-core analysis of various technologies. So, it’s not the sort of thing to post on a family blog.

I still plan to post here regarding life events, since my other blog will be unfit for dog pictures. Still, stop by my other site every now and then to see what I’m up to.

Midnight Oil (Kind of a working title, for now)

Obsidian Portal

I am finally getting close to deploying my Dungeons & Dragons website that I have been working on for the past few months. My friend Ryan Felton from the UofI has been doing the graphic design work, and I have been writing the code. We’ve been putting in long hours and sacrificing weekends, but it’s really starting to pay off.

I won’t try to explain too much what the site does, since it won’t make much sense to a non-D&D player, but feel free to explore it and play around.

The site is at: http://www.obsidianportal.com

Since it’s still not fully-open (we’re getting ready for a closed beta-test), the site is password locked. To get in, use the following credentials:
user: rpgplayer
pass: obsidian

Pillows

On Sunday, I made six pillows for a friend that just moved into a new place. I’m thinking of starting a side project and selling some on etsy.
