Our family had a blessed 2009. Over spring break, Iowa friends Lori and her son Ethan made the long journey to visit us in Eagle Pass and we traveled to see Dario in San Juan de Sabinas and explore Alpine. The following month we flew to Costa Rica for Alan and Melissa’s wedding, Jacobo enjoyed playing with his California cousins and we ventured up and down Volcanoes with Austin and Mary. Jacobo finished third grade homeschooled and is now having a breakout year in fourth grade at school. We moved from Eagle Pass to Del Rio in August because Jake got a new job as assistant county attorney. We miss our friends and church family in Eagle Pass. In December, Alejandra graduated with her master’s degree in counseling from Sul Ross State. We celebrated with a long wonderful weekend in Big Bend National Park with Silvestre, Cesar, Alma, Eber, Jerry and Micah. We also celebrated ten years of marriage. Our open invitation is still open to all family and friends and now we have an international airport, Amtrak station and US Highway 90, so no excuses! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
